Committed to the health care and well-being of its impact communities, the agro-industrial company Virú S. A., carried out on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 August, the Great Free Medical Campaign Virú 2021 and discard of Covid-19, for the benefit of the families of the population centers of Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre and California, located in the Province of Virú, La Libertad.
More than 600 people were attendant by a staff of doctors in specialties of general medicine, internal medicine, ophthalmology, pediatrics, traumatology, nutrition, psychology, among others. In addition, Covid-19 discards were performed with rapid and antigen tests, influenza and pneumococcus vaccines, cervical discard, and HIV discard.
“Despite the current situation, in Virú we continue working with a responsible approach in all our agricultural and industrial operations nationwide, aimed to ensure the health, security, well-being and development of all our collaborators, their families, and of course the population in our areas of influence. That is why, respecting all Covid-19 sanitary protocols, we performed the Medical Campaign to benefit many families that don’t have the resources to treat their health needs, especially in times as complicated as those we live today”, told Oscar Echegaray, Human Capital and Corporate Affairs Manager of Virú.
